During the third quarter of the Washington Redskins Week 11 matchup against the Houston Texans, Redskins quarterback Alex Smith took a shot from Texans star J.J. Watt and needed to be carted off the field. Smith, 34, was looking to bring the Redskins to their seventh win of the season.
Colt McCoy would enter the game in place of the injured Smith, and would throw for 54 yards and a score in a game that went right down to the wire. It was reported that Smith was taken right to the X-ray room after his injury, and was quickly loaded into an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
