RICHMOND — Redskins President Bruce Allen left no room for interpretation when asked Monday whether the team would consider changing its name if it proved a political barrier to building its next stadium in Washington or any location it chooses.
“No,” Allen said, without elaboration.
The Redskins lease to play its home games at FedEx Field in Landover expires in 2026, but team officials have already launched preliminary discussions about designs and the site.

Speaking to reporters Monday morning, before the team’s final practice of training camp, Allen said that Redskins have had “great conversations” with officials from all three potential areas for a new stadium — Maryland, Virginia and the District.
