The Washington Redskins announced Saturday that they’ve placed OLB Trent Murphy on injured reserve and signed WR Jamari Staples to a contract.
- The Redskins also waived OT Kevin Bowen with an injury designation.
Should Bowen pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Sunday.
Murphy suffered a torn ACL during Thursday’s preseason game.
Murphy, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Redskins back in 2014. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $4.472 million contract that includes $2.
