LANDOVER — Much like the crowd at FedEx Field — where pockets of blue mixed in with the burgundy — the game itself was a toss-up. In fact, it took until the final second for burgundy to let out an exhale.
The Washington Redskins scored a defensive touchdown in the last five minutes and held on to beat the Dallas Cowboys, 20-17, beating a hated rival in a game that had ramifications beyond mere bragging rights.
Because the Philadelphia Eagles blew a lead earlier in the day and lost their game, the Redskins now lead the division at 4-2.
