The Washington Redskins have either drafted or signed as undrafted free agents, five offensive linemen this offseason. And five offensive linemen make up a starting line in and of itself. So the Redskins obviously want to ensure that there is plenty of competition on the O-line come training camp.
Right guard Chris Chester was on the hot season last season too but he ended up holding on to his starting position for all of 2014. And Chester actually improved as a pass blocker last year according to Pro Football Focus.
So it’s not as if he was terrible across the board but it was in run blocking that Chester failed to get better.
