The Washington Redskins on Sunday will try to put last week’s underwhelming offensive performance behind them and reclaim the well-balanced, efficient form they displayed in wins against the Rams and Eagles.
But doing so will not be easy. The New York Jets defense is among the most dominant in the NFL. The Jets hold opponents to 13.8 points per game (first) and 280.3 total yards per contest (second behind Denver’s 278). The Jets also are tied for second in the NFL with 13 takeaways (six interceptions, seven fumble recoveries).
The Jets cause problems both for rushing and passing attacks.
