ASHBURN, Va. – The oddsmakers didn’t need to issue their double-digit line to understand the Washington Redskins’ task in trying to upset the New England Patriots on Sunday.
And it’s not as if Redskins coach Jay Gruden needed to see it either. Let’s start with this: The Patriots are trying, once more, for history as they’re now 7-0. The Redskins, meanwhile, are trying to stay alive in a division that may or may not produce a winner with a record over .500.
It’s not a stretch to say this game won’t be close.
