LANDOVER, Maryland -- It's really simple: The Washington Redskins must run the ball better. Otherwise, they'll continue to have an offense that relies on the passing game -- and will then produce days like Sunday. If quarterback Kirk Cousins is on target, they'll win. If not, they'll lose.
That's not the way they need to operate. Cousins has shown he can produce in those situations; he showed Sunday what happens when he doesn't. The loss wasn't all on him, but the lack of a run game meant that he and the receivers needed to do better.
