Day 1 of Redskins minicamp now is in the books. Jay Gruden and his charges went through their most extensive work day of the offseason thus far, because CBA rules permit more time for walk-throughs, film sessions and practice time.
Gruden was pleased with what he saw, and he said the goal of the week is to continue to lay a foundation for training camp, and for position players to compete at a high level in July and August, when jobs are truly on the line.
