Redskins make qualifying offer to Duke Ihenacho

The Washington Redskins made a qualifying offer to safety Duke Ihenacho on Monday, one of their two restricted free agents.

The Redskins gave him a $1.67 million offer, which means if another team signs him, then they will receive no compensation. But considering Ihenacho has missed most of the last two seasons, it’s hard to envision a strong market for his services.

Ihenacho opened last season as the starter, beating out Jeron Johnson (who was cut Monday). But he fractured his wrist in the season opener against Miami and was placed on injured reserve.
