The Washington Redskins continued to add depth to the defensive line on Friday by signing former San Diego Chargers defensive end Kendall Reyes.
The 26-year-old Reyes played the last four seasons with San Diego and had 126 tackles and 13.5 sacks in 50 starts. Last season, the 6-foot-4, 300-pound defensive end had 32 tackles, two sacks, four pass deflections and an interception. Reyes was drafted in the second round in 2012, making him the highest pick for a defensive lineman in UConn history.
The signing was the Redskins‘ first since the 2016 free agency period began on Wednesday at 4 p.
