Disappointing. That’s the best way to describe this effort from the Redskins. They just didn’t show up in the second half. They trailed by a field goal at halftime, but following the intermission, things got out of control.
The reason for this is simple. The defense collapsed. Both Quinton Dunbar and Fabian Moreau slipped in coverage on Amari Cooper, and he was able to long two longer TDs against the defense. The coverage busts were explainable, but they really took the energy out of the team.
