Well there goes cornerback Tevin Mitchell.
The Washington Redskins waived Mitchell earlier in the week along with safety Phillip Thomas in hopes of likely placing him on season-ending injured reserve in order to stash him away for next season instead of waiting for his shoulder injury to heal. After waiving him, the Indianapolis Colts ended up claiming him off of waivers.
#Colts claim CB Tevin Mitchell, waive rookie safety Robert Smith. Mitchel was 6th-round pick by Wash., waived injured, likely IR (shoulder).

What’s really sad is that losing Mitchell cost the Skins some money in 2015 and 2016.
