Washington Redskins defensive end Stephen Paea suffered a Grade 2 sprain of his toe in Monday's loss to Dallas and will miss at least a week, maybe more.
Paea’s injury costs the Redskins one of their strengths – depth along the line – and will prevent him from playing at his former team, Chicago, on Sunday. Redskins coach Jay Gruden said there’s a chance Paea will miss more than a week, saying it would be “one or two weeks, minimum.”
Paea lost his starting job to Chris Baker earlier this season, but when healthy has played 20-25 snaps per game.
