The message delivered by D.J. Swearinger was clear. It also wasn’t appreciated by Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden. But Gruden hasn’t yet determined what action he’ll take vs. Swearinger, if any.
Gruden said he planned to meet with Swearinger on Monday, wanting to ask him why he ripped into defensive coordinator Greg Manusky’s playcalling after Saturday’s 25-16 loss to Tennessee. He did not say whether or not he’d be suspended or fined. Gruden said he did not want to make a decision the day after an emotionally-draining loss -- and on the same day they were eliminated from the playoffs.
