The Washington Redskins on Wednesday interviewed longtime NFL coach Gus Bradley for their open defensive coordinator position.
Bradley, 50, began his coaching career with North Dakota State in 1990 before joining the NFL ranks in 2006 as with Tampa Bay Buccaneers first as defensive quality control coach and then as the team’s linebackers coach.
In 2009, he was named the defensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, a position he would hold for four seasons before being named head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013.
Named linebackers coach for the Buccaneers in 2007, veteran Barrett Ruud was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month in September that year, as he collected a league-leading 51 tackles along with three fumbles forced, two fumble recoveries and an interception.
