Redskins hope to build on last week’s rushing performance

The Redskins last week demonstrated a true commitment to the run, even though yards proved hard to come by. In their win over the Giants, they grinded out 105 rushing yards on 37 attempts. But sticking with the run proved beneficial because of both the balance that it ensured in Washington’s offense and the opportunities it created in the play-action passing attack.

As they prepare to face a Dallas, the Redskins look for more the same type of commitment, but they also hope that production increases.

“Alfred [Morris] is known to have really big games against the Cowboys, so we’re excited to see what him, Matt Jones and Chris Thompson are going to bring to the table this week,” fullback Darrel Young said.
