Redskins haven't yet settled on plans for Andre Roberts

The assumption was that the Washington Redskins would move on from Andre Roberts. And they still might, but they haven't yet and coach Jay Gruden said they're still assessing the situation.

For starters, Roberts is still recovering from a torn meniscus in his knee (requiring surgery in late December) so the Redskins can't release him now. They weren't going to be big spenders in free agency anyway, so saving $3 million wasn't going to impact their plans. Also, if they wait until June 1 to release him they can save another $1 million.

It's not as if Roberts can't help the Redskins -- if he's a No.
