Redskins Have Spoken To Teams About Trading TE Derek Carrier

John Keim of ESPN, citing multiple sources, reports that the Redskins have talked to NFL teams about possibly trading TE Derek Carrier.

Keim points out that while Carrier has had a strong training camp up to this point, the Redskins have a surplus at tight end with Jordan Reed, Vernon Davis, Niles Paul and Jeremy Sprinkle on their current roster and are likely to keep just four at the position.

Carrier, 27, came over in a trade with the 49ers that sent a 2017 conditional fifth round pick to San Francisco.
