Taking a look at the Washington Redskins' cuts and their impact on the salary cap:
Quarterback Robert Griffin III: His $16.155 million option for next season comes off the books. In essence, they swapped his deal for Kirk Cousins’ so the franchise tag will cost them an additional $3.8 million.
Safety Dashon Goldson: They’ll save $8 million off the salary cap. There’s a chance he’ll return -- the Redskins liked what he added on the field and in the locker room, but they also wanted him to take a pay cut.
