Redskins first 4 games: What we’ve learned so far

During the offseason the Washington Redskins made some moves with the expressed intention of transforming their offense into a power running team. They already had certain pieces in place like running back Alfred Morris and left tackle Trent Williams but more was needed.

First the Redskins hired one of the best offensive line coaches in the NFL in Bill Callahan from the Dallas Cowboys. Callahan helped the Cowboys achieve one of the best rushing attacks in the league last season and the Redskins also use him to call the running plays.

Then general manager Scot McCloughan used the draft to upgrade the running game as well when he drafted offensive lineman Brandon Scherff with the fifth pick in the draft.
