Fourth Quarter: Redskins 15, Panthers 26
The Redskins would run one play – an 18-yard completion to Pierre Garçon – before Dustin Hopkins came onto the field for a successful field goal conversion.
Carolina would punt the ball after a seven-play, 47-yard drive that was stopped on third down despite an original calling for pass interference on Mason Foster on third down. The referees huddled and then changed the decision due to the ball not being a catchable pass.
Washington, however, couldn’t take advantage and Tress Way came on for his sixth punt on the evening.
