Redskins Exercise Fifth-Year Option On Brandon Scherff, Re-Sign OL Tony Bergstrom

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins announced today that they have exercised their fifth-year option on the contract of guard Brandon Scherff and re-signed offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom.

Scherff (6-5, 319) entered the league as the Redskins’ first-round selection (No. 5 overall) in the 2015 NFL Draft. In his first three NFL seasons, Scherff has started every game in which he’s appeared, including 46 regular season games and one postseason contest.

Scherff earned back-to-back Pro Bowl selections during the 2016-17 seasons after collecting PFWA All-Rookie honors during the Redskins’ division-winning campaign in 2015.
