ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins' drops certainly led to frustration in Sunday’s loss to New England. But only a handful of their drops actually did real damage. Of course, in some cases perhaps they could have caused a missed tackle, or two, to gain more yards.
Of their drops, however, two stood out because of the room they had to run -- and in one case because it led to an interception. The Redskins were credited with seven drops, though you could make a case for eight (I included that one here as well).
Here is the impact of the drops:
First and 10, own 26-yard line: On the Redskins’ first play of the game, receiver Pierre Garcon ran a slant route on the right side.
