The Washington Redskins selected Arie Kouandjio with the 112th pick in the fourth round of NFL Draft 2015. The Redskins needed to add some depth and size to the offensive line and first they drafted tackle Brandon Scherff in the first round and added Kouandjio in the fourth.
The Redskins want to go to more of a power running game but some of their personnel on the offensive line are better suited to running a zone blocking scheme. Arie Kouandjio is a big, powerful guard at 6’5, 310 and he will bring a more physical presence to the O-line.
However, I think the Redskins drafted Kouandjio about a round too early.
