ASHBURN — With two picks in the fourth round of the NFL draft, the Redskins selected Stanford running back Bryce Love and Indiana guard Wes Martin.
The Redskins took Love with the 112th overall pick. First-rounders Dwayne Haskins and Montez Sweat announced the selection from the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
Washington’s‘ decision to draft Love is an interesting one, given the strength of their backfield with Derrius Guice, Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson all in the mix. But Love’s talent might have been too much to pass up. The 21-year-old was named 2017 Pac 12 offensive player of the year, rushing for 2,118 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior.
