The Washington Redskins signed two defensive linemen in free agency in 2017, giving a four-year deal to former Dallas Cowboys standout Terrell McClain, and a five-year deal worth an average annual salary of $5 million to Stacy McGee, who played with the Raiders before his stint in the nation’s capital.
Fast forward to July of 2018, and McClain is off the roster, signed as a castoff by the Atlanta Falcons, and McGee, having survived a chaotic first season, may not be ready to play for the regular season. Per Rich Tandler of NBC Sports Mid-Atlantic, McGee could start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform, or PUP, list.
