ASHBURN, Va. — Brian Lafemina, Washington Redskins president of business operations and COO, said Wednesday fans will no longer have to join a waiting list to purchase season tickets.
In the past, the decades-old model drew criticism from others as more of a marketing gimmick than an actual wait list. But Lafemina said the Redskins are abandoning the method.
“We want to grab back our home-field advantage,” Lafemina said. “We want to have the best home-field advantage in the National Football League. And what that means is having Redskins fans, rabid Redskins fans sitting at FedEx Field every single week.
