ASHBURN, Va. – It’s a bad combination when you have large, hungry men going out to dinner – and they’re not the ones who must pay for the meal. That’s what some of the Washington Redskins defensive rookies discovered Monday night.
That’s how you end up with a $22,159.04 bill -- tip included, of course.
“It was excellent,” Redskins defensive lineman Chris Baker said. “Gotta eat good, especially when it’s not on your dime.”
For Baker, eating good at Mastro’s in Washington, D.C. was this: a bone-in filet cooked medium with lobster meat on top.
It cost a lot of dimes for rookie linebacker Preston Smith, who was among four freshmen who split the bill.
