Redskins cut backup running back Michael Hill

The Redskins waived running back Michael Hill one week before the start of training camp, and just less than five months after signing him.

A long shot to make the roster, the 5-foot-10, 210-pound Hill went undrafted out of Missouri Western State in 2013 and had brief stints with the Chargers, Packers, Buccaneers, and Colts over the past two seasons.

He spent the final month of last season on Washington’s practice squad.

Washington has five running backs on the roster, with two-time Pro Bowl selection Alfred Morris leading the way.
