Encouraged by the Redskins’ first-place standing in the NFC East heading into Monday night’s game, and intrigued by how they would do against the rival Cowboys, a number of former franchise greats showed up at FedEx Field to watch the game in person.
Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs, former defensive end Dexter Manley, quarterback Mark Rypien, linebacker London Fletcher and wide receiver Santana Moss all ranked among the VIPs. Eleven-year NFL veteran wide receiver Donte Stallworth, who played for the Redskins in 2011, also was in attendance. Former running back Clinton Portis and tight end Chris Cooley, who both have jobs covering the Redskins for local media outlets, also attended the game.
