The Washington Redskins have interest in adding former Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Greg Manusky to their coaching staff, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed.
No hire has been made, a second person familiar with the team’s deliberations said. However, if the two sides do reach an agreement, it’s believed that Manusky would work with Washington’s outside linebackers.
The Redskins last season didn’t have an assistant dedicated to working strictly with their outside linebackers.
Defensive coordinator Joe Barry and defensive line coach Rob Akey worked with the team’s edge rushers. Longtime assistant Kirk Olivadatti worked with the inside linebackers.
