The Redskins made it official, Kevin O'Connell has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator. O'Connell spent the last two seasons as the team's QB Coach, and had the title of Passing Game Coordinator added last year.
It was reported that Ken Zampese had interviewed for the Redskins vacant QB Coaching job, but there had been no official word on O'Connell's future with the team. He was only listed as the Passing Game Coordinator on the team's official website earlier today.
Matt Cavanaugh has been the Redskins OC for the past two seasons, and he will remain on the staff for 2019 as a Senior Offensive Assistant.
