Redskins' Chris Thompson to miss second consecutive game with shoulder injury

LANDOVER — Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson is inactive against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday for the second consecutive week.

Thompson tore the labrum in his left shoulder two weeks ago and was a limited participant in practice all week.

Without Thompson on the field, veteran running back Pierre Thomas, who signed with the team last week, could see an increase in playing time as the third-down back now that he has had more time to get acclimated to the offense.

The Redskins‘ other inactive players are inside linebacker Perry Riley (foot), wide receiver Andre Roberts (knee), strong safety Jeron Johnson (hamstring), quarterback Robert Griffin III, left guard Arie Kouandjio and tight end Je’Ron Hamm.
