According to Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Mid Atlantic the Washington Redskins are discussing a contract extension with veteran cornerback Will Blackmon. Blackmon is an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any team.
In 2015 he was signed by the Redskins after the season had already started. He joined the team in week 2 and his experience immediately made him a valuable part of the secondary. Will Blackmon started ten games last season.
He stepped in when injuries hit the cornerback unit causing DeAngelo Hall to miss games. Blackmon showed that he could not only play on the outside against bigger receivers but he could also play on the slot receiver as well.
