With the NFL offseason now in full swing the Washington Redskins are evaluating what moves to make in order to try re-sign quarterback Kirk Cousins. General Manager Scot McCloughan has stated that he wants to re-sign Cousins but he doesn’t want to break the bank for him.
That’s a shot across the bow to Cousins and his agent and I take that as meaning that the Redskins want to avoid paying Cousins upwards of the $20 million they would have to pay him if they used the franchise tag on him. However, what if Cousins and his agent won’t play ball on a lower number?
