Redskins bolster special teams by signing LB Terence Garvin

The Washington Redskins signed their third free agent from another team and continued to build depth while doing so. At least that’s their hope (and belief). The Redskins signed free-agent inside linebacker Terence Garvin on Thursday.

Garvin spent the past three seasons with Pittsburgh, playing mostly on special teams.

How he fits: Garvin likely will be a backup inside linebacker and special-teams player – consider him a younger version of Adam Hayward, who is coming off knee injuries that ended both of his past two seasons.
