The Riggo’s Rag – Redskins Award for Most Valuable Player goes to:
Kirk Cousins
The 2015 season began with a lot of controversy surrounding the Washington Redskins quarterback position. 2015 was supposed to the season where Robert Griffin III blossomed in his second season in Jay Gruden’s offense. But that didn’t happen.
Instead it was another quarterback who blossomed in Kirk Cousins. After RGIII was injured in the preseason Gruden made the gutsy decision to start Cousins over Griffin. Not only that, but Cousins was expected to start the entire season.
However, it started pretty slow for Cousins.
