The Redskins have hammered out an agreement with cornerback Will Blackmon on a two-year contract, a person with knowledge of the situation said.
The financial terms of the deal weren’t immediately available.
Blackmon, 31, signed with Washington a week into the 2015 season and went on to start 10 of 15 games. He recorded 49 tackles, a sack, three forced fumbles and two interceptions, and had also had drawn a degree of interest from other teams.
A 10th-year veteran, Blackmon is versatile enough to play both cornerback and nickelback. He also has played some safety and could wind up contributing there for Washington this season.
