The Washington Redskins agreed to a deal with outside linebacker Pernell McPhee, the team announced Monday.
McPhee will give the Redskins a rotational pass rusher, a position the team needed to fill after Trent Murphy signed with the Buffalo Bills. The Redskins, per reports, also don’t plan to bring back outside linebacker Junior Galette.
McPhee spent the last three years with the Chicago Bears. The 29-year-old has dealt with injuries throughout his career, appearing in just 22 of 32 games over the last two seasons. He had knee surgery last offseason.
But McPhee was an efficient pass rusher in Chicago.
