Redskins add Kevin Pierre-Louis to bolster linebacker depth

The Washington Redskins added depth to their linebacker room Tuesday, agreeing to terms with veteran Kevin Pierre-Louis.

Pierre-Louis will join Washington on a one-year deal, worth up to $3.5 million, the NFL Network reported. The former Chicago Bears linebacker’s deal includes playing time incentives.

In 2019, Pierre-Louis played 213 defensive snaps, the majority of which came over the final four games of the season. The 28-year-old filled in for an injured Roquan Smith and started the final three games.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2014 draft, Pierre-Louis has emerged as a valuable special teams contributor.
