RICHMOND — The Redskins added another tight end on Sunday evening, signing four-year veteran D.J. Williams to a contract.
A fifth-round pick by Green Bay in 2011, Williams spent the first two seasons of his career with the Packers and then spent portions of the next three years with Jacksonville, New England and Tampa Bay.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound Williams has nine career catches for 70 yards and no touchdowns. The Arkansas product has served primarily as a blocking tight end, which became an area of need for Washington last week when Logan Paulsen tore a ligament in his right big toe — an injury that will require surgery and keep him out the remainder of the season.
