Redskins 53-man roster features all but one 2017 draft pick

The Redskins trimmed their roster to 53 players Saturday, and all but one of the team’s 2017 draft selections survived the cuts.

Only rookie receiver Robert Davis, a good candidate for the practice squad if he clears waivers, did not make it out of the 10 player draft class.

Washington chose just 23 players on the offensive side of the ball, making room for 27 selections on defense.

Some veterans, most notably safety Will Blackmon, didn’t make the team. Nose tackle Phil Taylor Sr., who tore his left quad in the third preseason game, was officially placed on injured reserve.
