Every year, solid NFL teams are able to find players in undrafted free agency that can make an impact on the team or at least add depth to the roster. Over the course of the past few years, the Washington Redskins have done a good job of stockpiling depth players in undrafted free agency.
Last year, the team landed Southern corner Danny Johnson and wide receivers Simmie Cobbs and Cam Sims. Johnson made the ‘Skins’ 53-man roster while Cobbs and Sims both shined in the preseason. Ultimately, Cobbs ended up on the New Orleans Saints as a depth player and Sims is expected to have a chance to emerge as a depth option for the Redskins in 2019.
