The Redskins have reportedly signed former Detroit Lions RB J.D. McKissic to a 2-year deal. This seals the fate of Chris Thompson who was always expected to leave in free agency this year. McKissic was a restricted free agent, but the Lions chose not to tender him.
He entered the league as an undrafted free agent signing out of Arkansas State in 2016. He was with the Atlanta Falcons for preseason, but didn't survive final cuts. He was picked up by the Seattle Seahawks, and spent 3 years there.
