In 2014 the Washington Redskins signed Jason Hatcher to give them that dominant pass rushing force they were missing on the interior of the defensive line. When he was healthy he gave that to them but that was also part of the problem.
Hatcher couldn’t stay healthy enough to be the consistent force the Redskins were hoping for. Although he started 13 games in 2014 and generated 5.5 sacks, Jason Hatcher didn’t quite live up to the free agent contract the Redskins signed him to.
There were times when Hatcher would flash his dominance but after having 11 sacks for the Dallas Cowboys in 2013, the Redskins were expecting more but Hatcher was unable to provide it.
