In one of the few bright spots on Thursday, wide receiver Rashad Ross had many NFL-first moments against the Giants. The most notable was his first career regular-season touchdown, a 101-yard kick return that tied for the second longest return in franchise history.
Ross followed his blockers up the right side of the field and found a hole created by defensive end Kedric Golston and fullback Darrel Young. He outran cornerback Trumaine McBride down the sideline for the Redskins’ first kick return touchdown since Brandon Banks on Oct. 31, 2010.
“The blocks were just set up perfect,” Ross said.
