It was an agonizing wait for Quin Blanding, but in the end, he didn’t have to go too far.
After being projected to go to NFL teams anywhere from the fourth to the sixth round of the this year’s draft, Blanding slipped out of the seventh round and found himself waiting to hear from his agent to sign as an undrafted free agent.
The Redskins eventually offered him the best deal, and the Virginia product and Virginia Beach native found his next football opportunity in the same state once again.
“That’s the way it works but I’ve never doubted myself, I’ve always believed in myself,” he told a local NBC affiliate.
