Phil Taylor isn’t ready to stop his career.
The defensive tackle is rejoining the Washington Redskins, agreeing to a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.
Taylor hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2014, but was on the cusp of making the Redskins’ roster before suffering a season-ending quad injury last preseason.
Taylor, 29, was projected to be the Redskins’ starting nose tackle before he tore his quad in the team’s third preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Redskins are looking to upgrade their defensive line. It’s unclear how much Taylor has left at this point, but he could provide depth in training camp, at the very least.
