Peterson refutes report he told Haskins it was 'time to learn playbook'

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson refuted an NFL Network report that he told quarterback Dwayne Haskins he had to get his nose in the playbook, the implication being the rookie had not bothered to study it until now.

Reporter Mike Garafolo delivered the report on Friday’s episode of “Good Morning Football” after Haskins played the second half of a 19-9 loss to the Minnesota Vikings because Case Keenum suffered a concussion.

“After the game, I am told that (Peterson) mentioned to Dwayne Haskins, ‘Get your nose in the playbook.
